Do my players need to pay?

No. Only the group creator needs an account. The free tier covers a full party. Players just need an email to join.

What games does this work for?

Any tabletop RPG -- D&D, Pathfinder, Call of Cthulhu, Blades in the Dark, whatever. If you need to schedule humans around a table (or a screen), it works.

How is this different from When2Meet or a Doodle poll?

Polls are one-and-done. Roll4Availability stores everyone's recurring availability, so finding the next session takes seconds instead of another group chat thread.

What happens when someone's schedule changes?
